Soprano Victoria Khoroshunova’s beautiful voice and flawless technique make her one of the most exciting newcomers to the international opera scene.
Born in Odessa, Ukraine, Victoria began her career at a very young age. While still in primary school, she was accepted as a soloist with the “Pearls of Odessa” youth choir, where she remained a regular member until 2004. She began her formal vocal training at the Odessa National Academy of Music, after which she moved to Greece and obtained her singing diploma from the Athens Conservatory of Music.
In 2015, she joined the Santa Cecilia Opera Studio in Rome, where she studied with Renata Scotto and Cesare Scarton. She then made her debut at the Auditorium Parco Della Musica. Following her stay in Rome, she participated in the Musical Odyssey master classes in Nafplio, Greece, where she worked with soprano Susan Bullock. At the end of this program, she was selected to perform two recitals in London. She has also participated at the International Summer Academy Mozarteum Salzburg (Prof. Daphne Evangelatos) and has sung at the Mozarteum Concert Hall.
She is the recipient of the Maria Callas Award for young artists (awarded by UNESCO Greece), as well as the honorary award of the Grand Prix Maria Callas Competition. She also won the 1st prize at the International singing competition "Luciano Neroni" and the 2nd prize (1st not awarded) at the Giorgio Merighi International Singing Competition.
Since finishing her formal training, Victoria has performed the role of Nedda (Pagliacci) at the Aegean Music Festival, Fiordiligi (Così Fan Tutte) as part of the Greek National Opera’s Opera Studio, Athens, and Bruckner Requiem at the Olympia Municipal Music Theatre Maria Callas, Athens.

In this role, she has also made her debut at the Janáček Brno Festival in November 2022. The production was nominated for the prestigious International Opera Awards 2022.
In August 2022, she was covering Sonia Ganassi in the role of Santuzza in Teatro Goldoni's production of Cavalleria Rusticana at the Mascagni Festival Livorno with the Orchestra della Toscana.
