Florian Laconi is currently one of the most renowned tenors in France.

Born in Metz to Italian parents, Florian studied Dramatic Art as well as singing with Michèle Command, Gabriel Bacquier and Christian Jean.

He made his debut in Metz in 1999 with the title role in Gounod’s Faust and has since appeared on most of France’s leading stages, such as Avignon, Reims, Limoges, Clermont-Ferrand, Massy, Rouen, Nice, Saint-Etienne, Tours, Marseille, Montpellier, Opera Comic, as well as Chorégies d'Orange, the Festival Radio France and Montpellier, and at the Opera Royal de Versailles. He made his Parisian debut in 2012 at the Paris Bastille Opera as Beppe in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci.

Since 2010, he is a regular participant at the “Musique en Fête” festival, which is broadcast live via the France 3 channel from The Roman Theatre of Orange. He also participates in a tribute to Luciano Pavarotti, titled “Le Concert des Etoiles” under the musical direction of Yvan Cassar, as well “Offenbach en Fête” presented by Cyril Féraud, both of which are broadcast via the France 3 channel.

International engagements include appearances in Hong Kong, Opéra de Liège, Opéra de Monte Carlo, the Los Angeles Opera, and most recently at Festival Granda in Peru.

He has worked with some of the most influential artists in their field, including conductors such as Michel Plasson and Georges Prêtre, as well as directors like Michel Fau, Laurent Pelly and Jérôme Savary.

His repertoire comprises most of the major roles from the lyrical tenor repertoire, but his passion, in particular, is French opera and he makes it his mission to bring it to life, both domestically and abroad.
